according ti Hindu mythology it is believed that 1 year for humans
is equal to 1day for the heavenly beings.
I believe there can be an explanation thro' Einstein's theory of relativity.
Can anybody explain?

According to science, as height increases, frequency increases (General Theory of Relativity)

According to Indian Mythology Devatas abode in Swarglok which is if I am not mistaken three layers above earth. The whole universe is divided into 14 Layers. Seven above the earth Level and six below the earth level, which we call Paataal Lok.

Now look at the above relationship between height and frequency. Time is inversely proportional to Frequency. So if Time increases frequency decreases and vise varsa. Since swarlok is at considerable height, applying above relationship and substituting Time for Frequency, as height increases Time deceases. This means your clock will run slow if you travel at greater Heights from earth.

This very much proves what 1 earth year is equivalent to one day for Devatas.

Similarly Sat-yuga, Dwaparyuga, Tretayuga and Kalyuga make one yuga (approx. 30000 - 40000 years) which is equivalent to one day of Brahma, since His abode is on the top layer of the total fourteen layers.

Precession of earth's axis: The Vedic seers came up
with the value of 25,870 years. How these ancient
people were able to make these calculations, however is
"as great a mystery as the origin of life itself".
http://www.astronomy.pomona.edu/archeo/india/as-india.html

The Puranas say that the cycle time for precession of
earth's axis is 26000 years, and that the weather on the
globe is affected by the precession. The Puranas also say
that 300 human years are equal to 1 divine year. Hence,
100 divine years are equal to 30,000 human years which
nearly tallies with the period of the earth's
precession if we understand that it was a rounded off
figure. About 1000 years ago, vineyards flourished and
wine was produced in England, suggesting warm and dry
summer seasons and the absence of cold spring seasons.
Sometime around 1200 A.D., the mild climate of Western
Europe began to show extreme variations. Very cold
winters were followed by relatively warm ones. The
English vineyards suffered during the cold spells.
Around 1500 A.D., the climate became moderated. The
very unit of 1 divine year given in the Puranas, which
equals 300 human years, may have been coined to
represent the duration of the Little Ice Age. However,
this may also have been an approximate figure.

Since the zodiac is divided into 12 parts, the 12th
part of the first sign also represents the first sign
in a mini-way according to the Hindu astrology. It also
says that the 12th part can be further divided into 12
parts in the same way to get the little division. We
can extend this concept to the Ice Age cycle. The Major
Ice age cycle will be 26000 years, the Minor Ice Age
cycle will be 2600 years, and the Little Ice Age cycle
will be 260 years.

These cycles of time affect the general attitude of the
intellectuals of the time. During the first half of the
cycle, intellectuals will be more interested in old
traditions. In the second half, they will not be happy
with what is written in the traditional texts, and
search for their answers in the contemporary writings.
Accordingly, most of the intellectual writings which
appeared 260 years ago were more concerned with the
texts that have come down to us since aeons.
Intellectuals of the recent years are giving less value
to such texts and are in-tune with writings of our
time.

you can find one possible explanation in multiple dimentions...to picture this more clearly imagine a world with only 2 dimentions, where a planet would be a circle that would keep it's inhabitants attracted to its surface through gravity. so these creatures could circle their planet by either going left or right, and would have some difficulties going in any ither direction, let's say, perpendicular to the surface of the planets. we, wholive in 3 dimetions, have in contrast no difficulty going either left or right(one dimetion), nor forward or backwards (the 2nd), and we can even, though more difficult, go up and down. For somone living in a 2 dimention plane we would seem gods - because we are able to exercise great influence over their world because we have acces to the 3rd dimention. So if we consider time the 4th dimention, the entities who have access to this dimention would have incomparably more mobility, and consequently more power over the other three dimentions, than the limited human - in ither words, gods! Maybe I didn;t explain clear enough: you can look into "Out of this World: Otherworldly Journeys from Gilgamesh to Albert Einstein" by Ioan Petru Culianu and "The Planiverse" by A.K.Dewdney.

the wink of the lord brahma takes eons and eons and one wink is completed and takes billions and billions of years. The calculation of time for the human beings is different than the time factor for gods and goddesses and for Parameshwar. In fact, gods and goddesses are beyond the pale of time and space. The world emerges and is created and destroyed in one second from the point of view of Lord Brahma, the creator. But for us human beings, it might look like billions of years
