I need help and any advice is welcome. I am an owner of a year old boxer who has become very rebelous and hyper. As a pup he was layed back and affectionate, but now his hyper level has spiked up and no matter how much I walk and spend time with him he is out of control. He is very friendly and has never hurt anyone, but he jumps and lunges foward at people when they get close to pet him (i can see why they are called boxers). He takes me for walks and his strength and size can be a challenge. I also know that puppies go through teething but he ate my plants, frame of house, and even fence. If anyone can offer advice or even support that would be great!!

Natalie is right it sounds like he needs more exercise and more training. When he jumps up push him back down and make him sit if he tries to get up before you want him to make him sit again and tell him "no" when he jumps but you got to say it in a stern voice "dont yell". Hes got to see that you are the leader and he follows you. Also when you make him sit point down so he sees some kind of hand signal to let him know to sit that way when he gets used to it all you have to do is point down and he'll sit.
