omg!! i have lost my passport. i was in the town last night taking my passport with me incase they asked me for id as i have just turned 18 and looked in my bag this morning and it wasnt there! does anyone have any idea how much it costs to get it replaced? its one of the new ones because it has a chip in the back so does that not mean the police or somebody can track it down? please help! =[ x

Don't worry if you can't find it. Just go to the post office and explain the situation. You will have to pay money but that is the price of losing your passport. Your passport can not be tracked unless it is used at the airport.

First things first. Check the car, your pockets, your bag and all its pockets (again!), your friends' bags (the ones you were with that night) to really confirm that you've really lost your passport and not just misplaced it. Call whatever clubs or shops you went to in case someone turned it in.
Still no luck? Report your lost passport to the POLICE. With the police report, make a report to the immigration office, or wherever it is you got your passport from. You can enquire about the cost of making a new passport there.
If you are a foreigner, quickly report to your nearest embassy. They will help you with temporary travel documents.
I'm curious why you had to bring a passport to prove your age in the first place. Don't you have ID cards?

65 dollars plus new photos to replace a passport, 35 dollars extra if you have it rushed, and 86 extra if you do it from a post office and want it sent to you. 186 dollars total if you get everything.

DO turn in your lost passport.THE police can help u too) Go to the place wher you got your pass port and reapply. If your from a different country call the rep from your country to help you here.

ring up pasport office and report it lost and apply for a new one, its not a big problen, a lot of people loose them im sure.. so try to relax, and get an age card instead, or a licence next time...

it costs less the longer you are prepared to wait to get it back. my girlfriend recently renewed hers and i think it cost £70 for a 2 week service but she got it after about a week.
