Both led to wins and I don't wanna here Jordan was getting his team involved you don't score 69points getting your junky team mates involved.

While both players are great, it's really about the reuptation they carry. Kobe has a reputation of taking shots not even the Harlem Globetrotters would try.

Jordan also is known to willing to pass the ball when needed (there have been a few times where Pippen outscored him). If Someone was hot, Jordan would take a backseat until needed, while with Kobe, pretty much if you outshine him one night, who dare you and you should be benched right away up staging him.

BTW, I would not condsider Pippen, BJ Armstrong or Horce Grant "junky" Luc Longly, Bill Cartwright, Robert Parrish, ok, yes junky.

Until he started winning titles, people were calling Jordan a ballhog. Over time, Jordan developed a reputation for being a player who would do whatever it takes to win and who made his teammates better.

Kobe's teammates generally don't like him much and he definitely rubs a lot of people the wrong way. I'm not a Kobe fan at all, but even I will admit that he doesn't usually get a fair shake.

Jordan won titles without a dominant center by his side. He also was the NBA's MVP and a first team all defense selection for many years. Scottie Pippen was good but when Jordan left the Bulls he melted down until Michael returned.

Until Kobe wins a title without Shaq he is just another wannabe.

because Jordans legacy is that he led a team to two three peats...with rosters of guys that man for man probably couldnt start on a lot of other teams...who benefitted from playing in a system where you werent asked to do anything extraordinary to be a contributor...Kobe will always have the knock that he hasnt won a title without Shaq, then of course, Shaq goes and wins one without Kobe...all of which pales in comparison to Bill Russell leading his team to 11 titles in 13 years (would have been 12 but he got an injured ankle and they lost in the finals that year) in a time where black players couldnt room or eat with whites, (do you honestly think MJ or Kobe could have put up with that kind of harassment?)

Jordan was a team player, as stated earlier he was not only a great ball handler and had the perfect shot, he played great defense. He also took pride in helping his teammates get great. Kobe is only interested in making himself great

Because everyone hates Kobe but everyone embraces Jordan. That's the only real answer. Screw typing a bunch of this and that. Here's your answer.

kobe shoots horrible shots. like you said no one on his team or any other team should ever upstage him. if you do you will immediately be traded and if you on the other team you will be hated on in the media. it funny how kobe called gilberts shot selection out give me a fu$$ing break. kobe taked the worst shots but when hes hitting everyone thinks hes great. people that dont know basketball do. when he makes shots that a good ball player doesnt then makes more then he misses all these clowns that dont know bball think its amazing. it is amazing, amazingly bad what a joke.

People don't like him like they did Jordan when he played. There were not as many players as skilled as he was in his day.
I still think Jordan is better. Kobe is arrogant at times.
