In fact yes... there is an asteroid scheduled to hit (or come perilously close to hitting) earth!! Fortunately not until the year 2880! It's called 1950DA and its big enough to wipe out much if not all of the life on the planet....we should get to work on this sooner rather than later, although its likely all humans will be dead long before this interplanetary train wreck occurs.

The earth is tormented with the help of alternative planetary products, which incorporate meteors that hit the earth or perhaps issues that merely bypass with the help of, at the same time with comets. case in point, the moon motives the tides in the earth's oceans and it additionally impacts the lean of the earth, which provides us our season. The moon is exceedingly huge although, almost a million/4 the size of the earth. Small issues have a smaller result. think of you're pulling a toy wagon - you are able to pull it rather. in case you have a bypass-cart, you are able to likely nonetheless pull it. yet what some Volkswagon? What approximately an 18-wheeler? the bigger the factor is, the greater stable it rather is so which you would be able to head it. this is the comparable way with the earth. something small like a meteror or in keeping with risk a comet have no measurable result on earth's direction because of the fact the earth is such distinctive circumstances larger.

There is a giant asteroid on the way to possibly destroy the Earth. The year will be 2037 and the asteroid will barrel towards Earth. There is a keyhole in the atmospere of the Earth that the asteroid can fit though. NASA can try and knock the asteroid off of the course, but there is a chance that they will knock the asteroid towards the keyhole. The asteroid can hit land directly or it can land in the ocean and create a giant tidal wave that kills millions and possibly the enitre population because the sea level is going to be at an alarming height as it is at that time. Due to global warming, the sea level will rise about 2300 feet and the impact of the asteroid can cover the little land that is left. Even Mt. Everst will be almost completly covered.

Andromeda is on a collision course with the Milky Way, but since that is about 6 to 7 Billion years from now, there is nothing to worry as our solar system and earth will be long gone by then...

Most probably. They have a theory that a large heavenly body (comet or meteor) penetrated the earth's atmosphere millions of years ago & caused the extinction of the dinosaurs...it caused the great ice age....but, it's a theory... ;) maybe we'll get lucky next time....

It is beyond all doubt that before our sun dies in about 5 billion years, the earth WILL be hit again, just as it is beyond doubt that there WILL be another earthquake in Kalifornia.
We are hit EVERYDAY by small meteors, and the larger they get the less frequent they hit, but...
Just a question of when.

Yes.. It's just a matter of time before the earth is hit by another large object. I don't know for sure that the object described in the link will hit earth, but if it doesn't certainly at one point another object will.

Yes. There is. Before you start worrying too much though, we don't know where it is right now, or exactly when it will hit the Earth, only that one will, as has happened many times in the past. It's not likely to happen in your lifetime.

There is another galaxy on a collision course toward us. It is predicted to hit, in a coupe billion years or so. If the Earh is on the other side of the Milky Way, then we will be sent spinning aimlessly into space. But if we are on the side that the galaxy hits us, we will be crushed to bits. So, no worries, lol.

I believe in God and I don't think it will ever happen. God made the universe and He controls the universe. If He wants a meteor or comet to hit earth, He will. But I doubt it. That is not God's plan. If you believe in God, check out Revelations.
