i put the seed one of them about 1" below and other about 1/2' below surface. Should i expose the flower pot to light even thou the plants have not sprouted yet?

no light needed for germination of a seed it is usually under ground anyway

It depends on the plant. Some plants like to sprout in the dark, and others want light.

Yes, but the soil must remain warm.
Put in light as soon as it sprouts.

Plants NEVER need light if they are under the soil.

If there is no warmth use a "grow" light to provide it. Other it is not necessary.
