Will there be a sequel to the movie "300"?

Will there be a sequel to the movie "300" focusing on the 10,000 Spartans that were introduced at the end of the film? It seemed like a sequel was being set up.

There was another battle where the Greeks defeated the Persian army.
Xerxes had a throne built on a mountain top to watch, when the Persians lost he was mad. Their fleet was sunk and Xerxes had the sea punished. He gave it 300 lashes and had torturers brand it with red hot irons and throw shackles in.

You won't like my answer, but I will say it
anyway. A friend of mine who is my age
(both 47) only likes or sees movies made
in the last two weeks or 52 weeks. I like
older movies. So my question to you is
if the latest movies are all that great,
why do I only see half a dozen movies

probably not likely as frank millers next projects are sin city 2 and 3 due out in 2008.

hmm.. i dont know.. but i dont think so..... those soldiers really were greek soldiers, not just spartans... but if u really wanted to watch the continuation of the story.. skip to Alexander.... with brad pitt... thats where they pushed so far to the east and defeated the persians with ease.... almost conquered the eastern world....

Doubtful. Frank Miller's next work has been reported to be "Ronin"; which is another stand alone graphic novel that he wrote.
