Tesco. They ran a series of ads in the papers following the petrol scare saying to contact them if you had experienced problems. Also at my local Tesco last week there was a man out front giving out leaflets about this and asking people if they had had any problems. He was also stressing the point that everything was now O.K. In order to make a claim against Tesco(they have already said that they will meet all genuine claims) you will have to have the receipt that proves you purchased petrol from Tesco during the critical time and also the repair bill.I think that providing you can supply these details O.K. you shouldn't have any problems. Tesco seem pretty sincere in what they are saying.

The claim is from Tesco via their own website. You need to download a claim from - BUT BEWARE!....I have made a claim to fit an oxygen sensor to my Corsa....I have been told today that the claim is being 'progressed' as I fitted the part myself...I'm sorry, but I did not have the spare £200 available to get my local garage to drain the petrol and fit the part, anyway, it took me all of 10 minutes from start to finish. The blokes at Tesco said that they would have plans to pay if people did not have the cash....I have already paid out £180 on diagnostic checks and parts, kept the faulty parts and fuel and got all my receipts. At the time I did this, tesco were denying that they had contaminated fuel....so much for trying to save them money!!!
