In our country India woman are worshipped. Here we say Yatre Nari Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devta which means Where Woman is worshipped there live God. Every woman for me is beautiful in one way or another, she is self-reliant because she is managing both work and home at the same time, she has the power to take her own decision. Confident because she knows what she wants from her life and how to get it. By empowerment I mean nothing but to be respected and freedom to live and do whatever fair work I choose to do.But essence of women is nurturing.Being compassionate about those who are downtrodden and underprivilege.

I am a retired psychologist, and I had to 'think about' your question a bit before I decided to 'answer it' ... because I 'stay at home' and 'do basically nothing' while my husband goes to work every day ... but he is the one who 'cooks our dinner' when he gets home, and he also 'washes my back' when I take a bath, and does lots of other 'good stuff' for me simply because he 'loves and appreciates me' ... so I do feel 'empowered, self-reliant, confident, beautiful, and in control of my life ... even though I'm 'not' any of the things you have listed in quite the way most of us 'think' a woman who is that way should be. And I'm that way only because my husband 'loves and wants me' ... and I think that most people really do need 'someone to complement them' (not 'compliment' or 'say nice things about', but 'complement' as in 'to complete') before they can feel truly 'empowered.'

I feel this way most days, although I'm not completely comfortable w/ my looks right now. I'm pregnant and I don't feel like I look like myself. But I am happy that I am able to carry a life in side of me while it grows and develops into a human being. That's a real self esteem booster if you ask me.

All woman who is married will feel all this you've said coz their husband apprecaite what you have. Yeah i have that too , because im happy of what my husband does to me .
We both working seeing each other end of the day and has chance to cook for both of us and we have time to enjoy and have some fun at home and can go out for dinner too . We do go to church every time we have chance ,so all this time for 13 years i can say i am included of what you mentioned above , thank you!

absolutely! i am 25 years old, in a fabulous marriage, mommy of 2 little girls, and totally loving life! i stand up for myself and dont take crap from the people around me! i am a stronger person than ive ever been, and i love it!

that would be awesome if lots of women were able to say that they feel ALL of these. I do feel most of these but not always at the same time.

yes me.very happy to say.because iam a daughter,WIFE and a mther of 2 children.i do lots of yoga meditationand i love my body too.i enjoy what i do and i smile at every one so i feel all what u have asked.

i sure do i am now retired and in control of my fate and love it and its good i have a wonderful hubby and hes retired and we have the life we want and now we can travel but we still have sons who are undecided. whic is bad.
