Maqbool, adapted from Macbeth and Omkara adapted from Othello, both movies were made by Vishal Bhardwaj. Bhardwaj was also to remake the Shakespearen classic, Julius Ceaser (pardon my spelling!), but shelved the project for the children's movie starring Pankaj Kapur. It is called Blue Umbrella, i think.

The movie "O" was inspired by Othello, Romeo and Juliet, 10 things I hate about you was inspired by the taming of the shrew, that's all I can think of right now.

Well, you have the more recent Maqbool (Macbeth) and Omkara (Othelo) but there have also been others. I really loved Angoor (Comedy of Errors).
