Yes agents have problems. I've worked with many who ship off every two months for small missions, even some overseas. After spending too much time in the field they start believing the life they live becomes a part of their current lifestyle. Most men are women are pretty good about keeping themselves in check with psychiatric mentalities. Very few do occur that I've noticed. But delusions can take over anyone. Unfortunately those who become slightly delusional don't know they are rotating in personality to correct themselves. They all spend too much time watching over their, and family's backs they are always on the look out.

Usually yes. As spies need to assume identities and lie easily they probably have a history of this before they became spies.

But then again no country confirms that this spy worked for them. So if someone claims to be a spy they might not actually be one. Its hard to prove...
