For those that feel repulsed... it's likely that they are more worried about what the flirtation says about them, than about who the flirtation came from. Not to pick on guys, but they tend to be the most freaked out by same sex come-ons.

I think if anyone - any sex - flirts with you, it's a compliment to your being becoming or attractive. They may like your smile or your manner. They may be attracted to the inner flame that lights you up from the inside.

Say thanks and move on with whatever current convo was taking place. If you were sitting alone you can be polite and ask them something fairly neutral like what they thought about the latest weather changes, the 3 way tie on Jeopardy, the cost of gasoline... by not returning a "flirtation" you let them know you aren't interested in hooking up. But by being friendly you let know you were flattered and appreciated the fact that they were generous enough to share that flattery with you.

It would be great if more people took the time to share a kind thought or compliment with their fellows, instead of worrying about what people will think.
Wouldn't it be nice if we made more efforts to bring smiles to each other's faces?

Don't know about any other respondants, but if someone thinks I look fetching in a new blouse that I bought, it would make my day to hear that, no matter who said it!

Neither. It is in their nature. It is in my nature to be nice and say I do not swing that way. I only get miffed if they keep trying. But I am a rarity.
