I heard of it happen once but they told the couple that they couldnt be 100% certain and not to go and rush out and buy everything blue/pink just incase they were wrong. They were right with me though last time, lets hope they will be right again this time! lol

This did not happen to us personally but my cousin had been told that they were having a boy and it turned out to be a girl- They were told however that it might be a boy because the baby was moving a lot and it was not an easy picture. Most of the technicians now wont tell you the sex unless they are qute certain they know what it is. There are very distinct things they look for in both a male and female.

Yeah! It was policy in the hospital where I had my twins not to tell the parents what sex their baby was going to be so it was my midwife who said I should be expecting one of each. They ame to this conclusion due to one heart beat being much faster than the other when I had my checkup's. They were so convinced and told me every time that I would be having a girl and a boy... When I gave birth, I became a mom to beautiful twin girls! Like I said, this was what my midwife said going on heartbeats etc. I've not heard of a sonographer ever getting it wrong on a scan though, if that reassures you!

my first i got told i was having a boy , but then i had a later scan i got told it was a girl ,when i said it can't be iv already been told he was a boy their explanation was that the cord gets in the way some times and that is how mistakes can happen , but mostly with girls . weird but true .

In both my pregnancies they said I was to have girls. Indeed I did. Usually they are pretty accurate. But for the most part... they can not be 100% sure. I personally go with what they say. Could just be my error. But... It's alright with me. :) We find out what number 3 is this coming Friday. :)
