The Suspension is all the parts that are between the chassis or frame of the car and the road surface. Yes even tires belong to the suspension of the car. This allows the car to move separate to the road surface.

It comprisies several items. Mainly the springs, shocks/struts. Other items are ball joints, inner & outer tie-rods, drag link and steering knuckes, along with control arms.
