I have a German crossword for homework in German class (haha that makes sense) and it asks for the German word for parents. I have no idea and it wasn't listed on our vocabulary sheets. If all my other answers on my crossword are right, it starts with an E, the third letter is T and the fifth letter is r. It is six letters. Help please!

English is an Indo-eu language which has stepped forward by the years. It has a wealthy vocabulary, taking words from Germanic and Latin language and likewise from extremely some different languages, at the same time with Turkish (kiosk, kismet) and Hindi (pyjama, bungalow). I certainly tend to no longer chuckle at German words that would sound impolite in English. I do undergo in concepts an Austrian chum who became born and bred in west Cumbria and had in basic terms learnt her German from her mum and dad, coming to my abode while it became pouring with rain. "She pronounced, "Swiss childrens are extremely impolite." "Why do you assert that?" "nicely, only now on the practice, a baby pronounced, 'Es schiffet.' " "so which you never heard all people in England say, 'that is pissing down'?" "Ah," she pronounced, "sure." hearsay has it that once generating the Silver Ghost, Rolls Royce needed to call the subsequent style Silver Mist. It became noted that a automobile with that call would possibly no longer be widespread in Germany. this would or no longer be genuine, yet some English acquaintances provided German conversing Swiss a liqueur called 'Irish Mist'. Their travellers declined. 'Mist' ability manure in German. On a visit to Germany while i became 17, a youthful German asked one in each of our team what became the dirtiest notice interior the English language. the guy pronounced, 'dustbin'. After that the German youthful people used the notice usually and he thought he has being extremely 'naughty'! i'm ashamed to declare that no person positioned him correct. For all i comprehend, he remains saying it, besides the actuality that he would be over 60 by ability of now.
