I am married and have we have a 7 month old daughter. I have a great job but I work a night shift. We have a nice apartment in town. I have 20 acres of land in the country. What would my wife do if I build a small cabin on the land, quit my job, and live off the land. I have a pond and stream. We can eat fish and rabbits. Does anybody think this is a great idea?

You have the house and the food...what about things like electricity to run the lights? How will you pay the water/well charges? What about the sewer and trash pickup? How will you pay for the doctor if your daughter gets sick?

I'm not saying don't do it...I'm saying you really need to think about the implications of that decision to make sure you've covered all of the angles.
