Never had a hangover, never been intoxicated. But have wakened many times with that same dream and discovered that I was extremely thirsty. I don't think you have to have a hangover to do that.

And yes, I have. It is torturous! That and when you really have to pee and you keep dreaming that you're at a toilet but for some reason can't use it!
