wiring will last a lifelime if it is not overloaded. And if the electrician did what they were supposed to when they built your home, it would not be possible to overload the wiring without blowing a breaker. 15 years is actually young for a wiring system. You should be fine.

If for your peace of mind you want a professional to look at your electrical systems by all means do....If you haven't been having no problems and you haven't added a lot of appliances you probably don't need it checked.....if your lights blink or brighten or dim a lot then you need to let some look at it....but basically there is not much use in getting a house rewired if it was built after 1980 because the national electrical code strict code and most states requiring inspections on all electrical work..

No, your home does not need to be re-wired if it was wired according to the National Underwriters and Electrical Code 15 years ago. If in doubt, your local building inspector would be a least costly source to review your situation and may not even charge for his service.
What you must do is evaluate all the new toys you have added to your electrical system such as computers, monitors, televisions and microwaves and be sure your existing wires are not overloaded. You may need to add additional wiring to meet these demands as there is where the real danger lies. As well, you can never have enough smoke detectors as a warning device, but it is best not to hear them working at all, so secure your safety with not overloading existing wiring.

You need to have all the circuits analyzed for their max rating. That is a simple look into the fuse box.
The codes that were in affect 15 years ago were safe. The question is whether anyone has increased the rating of circuit breakers, relative to the max load on a thickness (gage) of wire.
Other than that, no you don't need to arbitrarily rewire a house.

This is not necessary. As long as the job was done right the first time it was wired, it should be ok for a very long time. Wire will last as long as it isn't overloaded.

Not really necessary unless youre having problems or money to waste, or your house was hit by a tornado or hurricane and/or you just want to be sure. But really isnt necessary

If the wiring was installed properly to begin with you should be good. When you need to be concerned is if its old wire with no ground, undersized, or if the insulation is deteriorating
