I wanted to take my son but is he too young to bowl? Don't they have bumpers and lighter balls for kids?

Most certainly! I have taken my 3 year old daughter bowling. Just give them a light ball and put up the bumpers. She sits at the end of the lane and (with a little help from yours truly), gives it a push down the lane. I need a handicap to bowl with her :).

They do for a fact have lighter, safer bowling balls for your son. But some bowling alleys have a high restricion for children his age. Unless he is with an adult at all times

I take my 3 1/2 year old and she loves it.They put up the bumpers for us and get out a special kiddie ball. It is fun to watch her squat down and try to push her ball down, though it does seem to take forever to get to the end it eventually makes it. You should definitely take him, it will be a blast. It also helps with learning how to take turns and politely waiting for your turn. Have fun.
