Gee, there are so many great songs. Here are some of my recommendations: "I Had Too Much To Dream" Electric Prunes. "Dirty Water" Standells "Night Time" Strangelove, "Pushing Too Hard" Seeds. "You're Gonna Miss Me" Thirteenth Floor Elevators, "Psychotic Reaction" Count Five, "Hey Joe" Leaves (also by Jimi Hendrix), "Sugar and Spice" Cryan' Shames or Searchers. "Let's Talk About Girls" Chocolate Watch Band, "Sit Down I Think I Love You" Mojo Men, "Talk Talk" Music Machine, "Incense and Peppermints" Strawberry Alarm Clock. "7 and 7 is" Love , My Little Red Book" Love, "Can't Seem To Make You Mine" Seeds. "Laugh Laugh" Beau Brummels, "Little Black Egg" Night Crawlers, "Little Girl" Syndicate of Sound, "Strychnine, "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet " Blue Magoos. "Question of Temperature" Balloon Farm, "Nobody But Me" Human Beinz, "Gloria" Shadows of Knight.. "Journey To The Center Of Mind" Amboy Dukes. "I Want Candy" Strange Loves, "Get Me To The World On Time"Electric Prunes, "Open Up Your Door". Richard and the Young Lions, "Liar Liar" Castaways. "Sit Down I Think I Love You' Mojo Men, "White Rabbit" Jefferson Airplane (and practically all of their songs from 67 to the early 70's )

Some people confuse heavy metal music with psychedelic. There are some overlaps but they're two distinct genres. The peek years for psychedelic music were 1965 to 1968. Heavy metal didn't begin making an impact until the late 60's.

"Dear Mister Fantasy" by Steve Winwood is my fav. Also, of course, "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane

Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune
Something to make us all happy
Do anything take us out of this gloom
Sing a song, play guitar
Make it snappy
You are the one who can make us all laugh
But doing that you break out in tears
Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had
We wouldn't have known you all these years

There's also "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" Beatles, LSD, duh

Free Bird is an awesome song.......but, not really psychadelic song. However, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", by Iron Butterfly, is tailor made for acid trips.

THE BEST? BY IRON BUTTERFLY,... IN A GADDA DA VIDA... IT IS ABOUT NINETEEN MINUTES LONG AND HAS ABOUT A TEN MINUTE DRUM SOLO, VERY PSYCHEDELIC, ATE BUNCHES OF SHROOMS AND SMOKED ALOT OF SIGNAL FOURTY BACK THEN.,,,GIVE IT A LISTEN AND GET BACK WITH ME.
