We know that Fred/George were really eager to represent Hogwarts in Triwizard Tournament. They tried to put their name in Goblet of Fire, but failed. What if they succeed then? What if they both became the Hogwarts champion, and not Cedric Diggory? I mean them both really worth to represent Hogwarts there, despite their age! They really knew their stuffs and were amazingly advanced for Wizards of their age!
I believe if they both became Hogwarts champion, the Gryffindors would all very please to send three champions (including Harry), the other three Houses would have such instant uproar (because somehow the Gryffindors had successfully cheated Dumbledore’s age line), and the whole judges and participants from other schools would be totally furious (Three champions from ONE school?!? Preposterous!!)

Now the questions are, how would they do the whole three tasks? (Would they both compete as a couple or individually? (Personally, I believe they would keep doing all the tasks as a couple) Would they cooperate with Harry… or not? How would they face the Dragon? What things/person that they would surely miss a lot for the second task? (eerr… Lee Jordan…?) Would they both tie with Harry Potter in the third task? Would they also witness the revival of Lord Voldemort? Would Wormtail kill them both like he killed Cedric in original plot story? How about the money? Would they still get that 1000 Galleons in the end?
What do you all think then? This all just makes perfect sense, right?

If I remember correctly, only Fred actually entered his name into the Goblet of Fire. Fred and George were both tossed out of the Age Line because George jumped in after he thought Fred had entered successfully, but before he was able to submit his own name. It would've been interesting if they had entered their names together (Fred & George Weasley - Hogwarts) and had been selected as champions. The other three Houses, Beaubatons, and Durmstrang would be outraged, no doubt. But, I don't see how they could do anything more to prevent them from competing, than they were able to prevent Harry from competing. If the Goblet of Fire selected them, they would be the official champions. Fred and George seem to approach all obstecles as a team, so I imagine that they would face the tasks in the same way.
I'm confident that the Twins would cooperate with Harry; they have always supported him in the past, including giving him their prized possession: the Marauder's Map, and avenging him by deliberately leaving Ton Tongue Toffee for Dudley to eat. I think that they would take turns distracting the dragon, so that the one of them could retrieve the golden egg. They would probably use some of the items that they later sold at their shop. For example, some of their special fireworks, a Decoy Detonator, or the incantation that was the key to their patented 30 minute daydreams. I'd guess that the person most likely to be taken hostage for the Twins to retrieve for the second task would be Lee Jordan, (he is their partner in crime, they were even willing to give him a third of their prize money if they won). If they had to save two people, I'd guess that the other would be either Ginny or Angelina Johnson.
I think that they'd tie with Harry in the third task too. They probably wouldn't feel obligated to be as fair as Cedric in regard to Fleur and Krum, but I think that they'd be willing to work with Harry to overcome the spider and would seize the Cup together. After being transported to the graveyard, I think that they'd be more suspicious than Cedric was. Both of the other tasks were on Hogwarts grounds, with a lot of security. It was made clear that the tasks were dangerous, but that there were many professors standing by to intervene if they were distressed. The graveyard appeared deserted, no one around if they shot red sparks in the air to signal for help. They are troublemakers, which means they are conditioned to be aware of exactly where people in authority are, since they need to avoid being caught. There is no way they wouldn't realize their actions weren't being monitored and that would put them on guard that something was wrong. Besides that, they'd want to be at Hogwarts, eager to be announced as the winners and to claim their prize money. They'd probably tell Harry to grab the port key immediately so that they could return.
Of course it would ruin the plot if they returned without Harry being used to revive Voldemort, so I guess that they'd have to witness his return. I wouldn't want them to die, but since the Death Eaters would kill them if they could, I'd say they'd hide and shoot curses at them from behind headstones. Once the three of them returned to Hogwarts, they would be expected to split the 1000 galleons evenly, but Harry wouldn't accept his share. He doesn't need the money, he's always felt sorry for the Weasleys because of their financial difficulties and he'd encourage them to invest it in their joke shop.

To start with, Fred and George are two seperate people, and only one name would emerge from the goblet. When they put their names into the goblet of fire, it was on two seperate pieces of parchment. Therefore, only one of the WEasley twins would be selected to be a school champion. I am also aware that Harry and Cedric, both from Hogwarts, participated in the tournament. But you also have to remember that we do not know exactly how Harry got entered. For all we know, (and I also believe) he was entered into the goblet under a different school than the 3 that were present.
I like the idea of the question, though. I bet you that they would have thought of some clever way to get around the tasks (practical jokes, no doubt) I can't picture them going out of their way to compete with Harry. I'm glad that they couldn't defy the age line, though, because I wouldn't have wanted them to die! voldemort killed Diggory simply because he was in the way, so he would have no problem doing the same to Fred and George.

Would you have entered yourself for the Triwizard tournament? No, I probably would enjoy watching from the sidelines a lot more than doing it myself If so, would you have done well? Nope What character do you think it would have been hilarious to see as one of the champions? Neville would've been epic. Luna as well. And Snape, definatly Snape! Do you think Harry still would have won if it wasn't for the tip offs everyone gave him? No, Harry would've been stuck after the First Task, if it weren't for Cedric he would've been screwed. Did Harry get to keep the Triwizard Cup? Probably, that's interesting I never even thought of this If he did, what do you think he did with it? Placed a spell on it that makes it never empty and it would be full of his favorite drink Which of the champions would you kill in the place of Cedric: Fleur, Viktor or Harry? Or would you keep Cedric dead? I'm not sure, I think Viktor, he really doesn't offer anything to the plot except a little in the seventh book. But Cedric didn't deserve to die but it works the best with him! Can you invent some new tasks for the Triwizard Tournament Yes, I can. It should've been a magical obstacle course, like where you run through Hogwarts or the grounds, fighting Death Eaters, solving puzzles, and everything like that

All this does make perfect sense...
I think they would work together if they were allowed to...seeing that they're always together. To face the dragon, they'd probably give it U-No-Poo...or something like that...or they could use their invisibility hats. In the second task , i think each would be the other's hostage, the one he has to free...or maybe it would be the Filch...they'd miss playing pranks on him
They would cooperate with Harry, coz their mum would murder them if they didn't...and anyways, fred and george are too close to Harry to try to do him in...
Yeah i think Wormtail would have killed them too....he doesn't see any difference between Diggory and Weasley's....right?
I love your imagination

That does make sense...but would the two of them really be in the triwizard tournament? what if only one of them got picked?
But I think you're right. They probably would have partnered up with Harry. I mean, they've been close to Harry ever since Harry's first year.

Yeah, Fred and George do know a hell of a lot for their age, but not anything of real importance - I mean they put on a hell of a firework show, and pull some great pranks. But I dont think schiving snack boxes would have saved their butt in that maze.
