Question that will be asked after some preerquisites is vey biased. It is requested that those who find bias abhoring not to answer or keep answer short.
Preerquisites 1, Basic understanding of scientific origin of Cosmos; 2 Very specal time machine, which not only allows you to travel back to period before domestication of fire, but also has ability to find group of pre-humans with some ability for abstract thought, and social structure that keeps population within ability to produce food; 3 Ability to transport some matches in your possession.
Question - What type of god would you invent?

I would go for the controlling, yet so called loving god, much like the Judeo-Christian belief. That way, I could rid of logic and keep my sheep in line with the ever promising thret of hell, and the looking forward to heaven. Mostly, my god would be contradictory, that way he could never be understtod, and if he can't be understood, the humans must have faith, ever more giving me, through my god, complete control and power.

One would not need to invent anything...when you arrived, and demostrated the ability to make fire, you would automatically be deemed to be a "god".

As Arthur C Clarke has said, any sufficiently advanced technology will appear to less-advanced societies to be "magical".

Well, he/she/it wouldn't be much of a god if I could invent him/her/it, since I'm only human. But one thing I think a god could do for us is arrange that our understanding of one another doesn't need the medium of language, as I have to confess that I found your question really difficult to understand.
