how you feel about the United States potentially having its very first female (Hillary Clinton) or African-American (Barack Obama) president

I don't care what gender or race the president is....doesn't matter to me at all. What I want is a return to a president who gives a damn about the American people, one who actually goes about the Peoples business, who cares about having a peaceful relationship with the other countries in the world. One who knows what diplomacy is and practices it. One who isn't crazy and self-centered and who doesn't invade soverign nations for his own purpose.

I don't care what religion that person is, I don't care if that person worships trees or nothing. We need a true American Patriot in the White House....one who believes in the Constitution, who believes in the laws and follows them...

I can't wait!

I feel fine about it although I am not impressed with the candidates that may be known for accomplishing that first. I believe Americans overall have been ready for some time. Colin Powell was urged to run and so was Secretary Rice.

While there are some who still have racist and sexist mindsets, and some who will believe they are victims of "the man" no matter what is done, I believe most of America has risen past these things.

I'm all for an African American or Female President, I wish Colin Powel or Condelezza Rice were running!

What matters is that I have the right to vote for the next president. As long as the people choose the president I am happy.

Really whether Dem or Rep there is little difference. There still will be government expanding, rising taxes, government intrusion in our lives. We are on a one way path whoever is in charge. Sad.

To answer your question, personally feel there are huge amount of factors besides sex and race influencing my vote. Hoping for Howard Dean with one of two you mentioned as vice-president.

I feel like people who think about it are racitst. I don't consider their race or gender. Just their politics

I think that color, gender, or sexual orientation have nothing to do with someone's ability to lead a country

I don't care for Hillary. She's so boring and Republican lite. Conservatives absolutely hate her (and many don't even know why) and she's not even that liberal to begin with.

Obama all the way.
