Hi!

I think I must have been about 3 years of age.

I had the measles and my gran bought me a plastic kitchen pan set to play with. In those days you had to keep kids in the dark, and I can remember playing in semi-darkness with my pans.

I was in heaven!!

I can still picture myself now, as if it was only yesterday!!

Thanks for that little trip down Memory Lane!!

I remember the very first cot I slept in at home - that was between the time when I was a few days old to the time when I was a few months old. The bottom of it was made of cool varnished rattan. I loved running my little hands over its bumpy texture from the weaving process and poking my fingers into its squarish holes.

I also have a mental picture of the day I was born - how the first person the doctor handed me over to (after my mother) was my grandmother, who stood waiting outside the delivery room. But I believe that might be a picture planted in my head by my mother's descriptions of the day I was born - not a picture from my own memory.

I was about 3 I think..when something was going on with the moon at night...my uncle came to our house and everyone went outside and I wanted to go outside too but couldn't open the door....and my earliest happy memory is when I had the measles and my Grandmother had sent over some material for to make a beautiful basket with flowers I will never forget how beautiful that turned out.

The earliest thing I can recall with any vividness was at the age of 4; my mother was brought to the hospital for the birth of my little brother, and my aunt came over to watch me and my older brothers and sisters. I recall coloring pictures for mom, which my aunt said would be delivered to her by dad the next day.
After mom returned home with my new baby brother, I remember I would sit for a long time on the floor by the crib staring at him; I thought he was beautiful. When he could sit up in his crib, I remember playing with his little toes and talking to him about all the things we could do when he was bigger.

I was almost three. My father and I picked my mom up from the train station. She'd just come back from Montreal and she brought me home a stuffed Koala bear.
