Hi everyone , i recently downloaded some videos off you tube using www.vixy.net. When i downloaded the file i had a choice of saving the file or opening it. It was an avi file if i opened it i cud play on my media player11. But when i save it it won't let me play it . It say windows media encountered a problem while playing the file. Isn't windows media player 11 supposed to be able to play avi files? Please help :)

u encountered a error message and it ask u
do u want to check web for help or close window
most likely if u check web...u will be directed to microsoft.com and it will tell u answer or send u to another web site with answer

all u do is
find video file u want to watch
right click it
open with
vlc media player
when u right click video and select open with
vlc might not be a option...select browse..find vlc..then open....it is great
it plays all files types
u can use it to play cue/bin files

Yes,
The most current windows media player can play avi files.
What you can do is download itunes, if you have not already, and then use it to export the file in mp3 or wav file structure.
You have to go to options and change the import status.

The best way is to use TubeHunter to save youtube videos as AVI or MPEG which can be played on Windows Media Player.
TubeHunter can download videos from hundreds of video sharing webs and can convert them as any format you want.

always media player ( all versions ) has a lot off problem . just u setup the jet audio v6.2.6 and u can play it very well and u can also convert it to another like MP4 and mpg ...

that is b/c it is a FLV file when you download it you need to reconvert it to mepg or divx to play it use Real player or FLV
player
