Is it true that the legendary soul singer "Iceman" JERRY BUTLER is involved in Chicago politics as a Alderman

Does he still record or is he only involved in politics now? If he is just into politics nowdays, I wonder if he will try for Mayor of Chicago? That would be cool.

true fact that...no he doesn't record anymore and i 'm not sure if he's still involved in polictics anymore...but "mayor iceman" do have a nice ring to it!...

Jerry "Iceman" Butler is a commissioner on the Cook County Board. I'd think, at his age, he wouldn't try for mayor. Besides, he's a firm supporter of Mayor Daley, and he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
