What could be causing it, and how can I make it stop hurting? No, I'm not having contractions. Ten more weeks of this sounds like hell to me, though. :(

Baby may well be sat on your sciatic nerve-especially if the pain is accompanied by tingling legs or toes.

If it's the sciatic nerve due to baby there's not much to be done-other than try and encourage movement on baby's part.

If it's further up your back try a frozen bag of peas wrapped in a pillowcase against your back as if your muscles are inflamed and trapping nerves that may well help to temporarily relieve the pressure.

Failing that go see the doctor on Monday-get yourself checked out-you're right, 10 weeks in pain is no fun!

It could be sciatic pain, or just hip out of place. Alot of really bad types of pains can come and go. I had a terrible pain in my right hip to where I couldnt even sit or walk around without being in severe pain. Yeah the rest of the pregnancy is not always fun either. You will get all sorts of different things. Ive gone through it 4 times now. But just dont forget in the end its all worth every bit of it.

Your body is most likely getting ready for labor. What really bits is that back pain is a sign that you might have back labor. That is what I had,and yes it does hurt. But what kind of labor doesn't hurt?Everything will be just fine.Just remember that when it starts to hurt really bad to close your eyes and imagine yourself somewhere else.Your favorite place with peaceful music playing in the background.Just have faith that everything will go smoothly and you will do great.Good luck.

You could be experiencing readiness labor pains... to prepare your body.. or baby could be sitting on a nerve. My best advice I could give you is to try and soak in the bathtub with warm water to ease the discomfort on your back. You might also use a warm water bottle or heating pack to lay on your most painful spot. This might ease some of the discomfort as well.

Hope this helps... and good luck to you!
