I have been in relationships with men who do not believe in God. I do believe in God. It was a struggle because that is a huge part of my value system. I am able to have friendships with people who have different beliefs than myself. My best friend is a Wicca priest. But I'm not raising a family with him. I think that spirituality is a significant part of a relationship and that no matter how bad we want it to work, if it is just too different, it's a major struggle. I don't think there is an issue if one is Catholic and one is Lutheran. But if one is a Christian, the other an atheist, I don't see that working.

i think of you 2 will artwork out merely fantastic... i'm an atheist and my female pal comes from a Christian kinfolk. we've been 2gether for 2 years or perhaps although we talk approximately it we informed one yet another we'd admire one yet another and our ideals. do merely no longer deliver him to church and make him indignant... my GF's mom does that =/ then I do merely no longer bypass over for a week or 2 because of the fact I hate being at something i do no longer think in. Oh and don't hear to the different's. The bible is greater of a e book of instruction manual strains in case you rather look at it at a non-non secular viewpoint. and that i've got had very own adventure with it.

I do not know what you mean by "believer of God"... If your bf is claiming to be Christian then he is not well versed in The Teaching of The Faith... one of The True Christian Faith should not be dating a non-believer. That is a basic of The Faith... I would doubt the sincerity of one who professes but dose not follow the basics of what he professes to "believe"... while no Christian is perfect, that is a real basic and he needs to get with God a bit closer before he commits to any relationship...

Why should it ,you dont have to be a christian to be a good person, it's not as if he's a priest or anything is it,
as long as you believe in each other thats all that matters.

No, my wife is a staunch Christian, and I could not care less about Christianity!
But you WILL have to compromise!
But hey, it is only for an hour in church.
Bite your lip, keep the peace and be happy!
