I'm sad to hear you are going through this. You deserve to be wanted by both of your parents. You deserve unconditional love.
Yes, it is illegal in the state of Texas to runaway from home. You could end up in the juvenile justice system (on probation, in the juvenile detention center, at a placement facility, etc.).
What you describe your mother saying is "emotional abuse", and what you describe your father doing is "physical abuse".
Please contact Child Protective Services, and they will help ensure you stay with a responsible guardian who will not abuse you. You can contact them on-line at https://www.txabusehotline.org. If you are ever in fear for your safety/life in the moment, call 911.
Again, I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through.
Best wishes.

Yes it is illegal for a minor to run away from home in TX. If you are caught, you will probably just be taken back to your parents, or worse, may be put in juvenile detention. But what is even more illegal is your father and mother abusing you. By all rights, your mother should not be taking care of you anyway, and your father should be in jail.
You need to call the Texas abuse hotline ASAP: 1-800-252-5400.
You may also wish to call the Texas runaway hotline:
1-888-580-4357.
They can help you find a home, or a place to live where you will be cared for and protected. If your father ever threatens you again physically, you need to call 911.
Once you have contacted the authorities it is probably OK to go stay with your friend and his/her family; as long as they are fully aware of the situation, and are willing to take you in. Just be sure the police know about what is going on, otherwise your friend's family could theoretically be charged with kidnapping.
Abuse and neglect require ignorance and apathy in order to exist. Please do not be afraid to speak out; to talk to your teachers, friends, or anyone you feel you can trust. You are not alone, there are many people out there that care and want to help you if they can.
Here are some websites that may help you.

It's illegal for minors to run away in all 50 states. Texas isn't at all unique in that respect. However, there seem to be some mitigating circumstances in your case. If you're being beaten as badly as you claim, that is also a crime. I'd talk to a school counselor if I were you. They can get you to a safe place where the law can't touch you!

Go to child protective services, they will find you a foster parent to live with until you are 18- you need 3 more years of shelter, food, clothing and help before you just run. It's also obvious you need to stay in school. Dat and dat.

There isn't any law on running away from home. However, you're only 15. Staying with your friends is only a temporary solution. Who will feed and cloth you? Eventually, your friend will get tired of you and ask you to move out. If that happens where will you be heading? There is no place better than home. What I suggest you do is speak with your parents and try not to upset them, where possible. Trust me, no parents in this world hate their kids. Its only a moment of anger that they hurled hurtful words.

after 16 there isn't anything they can do. You can legally quit school but I wouldn't recommend it but staying in an atmosphere like that isn't good either. If you can continue school I say do it.
