duvaxyn ie for a standard flu vaccine, duvaxyn iet for a flu vaccine with tetanus are the most widely used in the UK. It is normal to start a horse with a course of 3 injections, 1st injection is a flu/tet vaccine, 2nd injection is between 30-90 days for a standard flu jab, 3rd vaccine is then within 12 months from the 2nd vaccine (must be no more than 365 days to compete in riding club/pony club competitions, to take your horse on a racecourse or most show grounds.

You must then continue the vaccinations, a flu/tet every 2 years, flu on it's own on the alternate years. Again, don't go over 365 days or you have to start the course again.

Now that it is a legal requirement for all horses in the EU to have a passport, most vets will stamp up the horses passport as your record for when your horse was last vaccinated. The old system before passports was a card issued by the drug manufacturer which most passport issuing authorities will have included within the horses passport for the continuation of records of vaccination which is essential for competition regulations.

The most effective way of keeping all vaccinations is on the back part of a horses passport - each time the horse is vaccinated - the vet will mark what one was rendered - and date stamp it.
Depending on if your horse will be travelling abroad alot - the only vaccination that comes to mind right now would be the flu vax. This is initially given - then gets two booster shots two to three weeks after - then once a year.

I was going to type them out for you, but science teacher's link is much easier. She is right. Keep health records for horses like you do your kids. If your horse gets sick, you know what he was vaccinated for and can eliminate that.
Around here it's also important to have a horse Coggin's tested. You aren't supposed to cross state lines without this.

You need vaccines to board horses most places and to trailer them to shows, etc.
Obviously the most important reason to vaccinate your horse is to keep him healthy!

the importance is that most places will not board a horse without proof of these records the stable my daughter goes to for her riding lessons boards and has a list of what is required for them to board your horse there id suggest contating a large animal vet to find out exactly what it is you are required to have
