Can India overtake China?

I'd say its unlikely. China has a larger population, more land, and is already more advanced than India. It'd take a lot for India to catch up at this point.

Not possible unless a revolution takes place in India in respect of political systems, vote bank policy, election procedures, and in complete elimination of corruption and black money from the country;
Lot of constitutional changes are needed, which our politicians will not allow to take place.
Hence we have to forget our country taking over China.
Even in Sports for any event, we are not able to send best people for competition.

There is no unity with in the team, team Spirit and team of best players. Every one tries to get entry thro'recommendations, past history etc. Nobody is bothered about country's pride.

China has the biggest population in the world and the biggest army, it controls the worlds commerce, and its a nuclear power, so china can nuke india right in the face.In about ten years china can take over the world

I don't think India will ever takeover China. China's army is bigger and they are getting a lot better technology now. They could some day take over the world if they wanted too. I don't think it will happen though.

i doubt it that india could overpower china,china has nukes and the largest member army in the world.but remember one thing just cause you are more powerful then another nation doesent mean you can invade it.if the u.s tryed to invade china or britain it would be virtualy impossable.briatin tryed to inavade china many many moons ago when the empire was at its best and when india was apart of that empire,and britain only took one city which was hong kong which they gave back to china in 1997,it was caled the one year war

China is creeping in slowly on to Indian territory. It is a matter of time before thay take over India because they have the internasl assistance from Communists, Maoits and Naxalites apart from the terrorist network of pakistan.Burma and Bangala desh are equally helpful to Chnease in spreading unrest in the east and North east.

Certainly. By investing and taking over Chinese companies it can involve China in its game of industrialisation for labour is cheap and the cost of setting up an industry is low with the least hassles.
