I am currently 23 weeks along. I took my last birth control pill in the first week of October and had my last period the second week of October. I have been on low-dose birth control for several years and have never stopped taking it for any reason. I've had some previous health problems that made me concerned that it may take a while to conceive. By some miracle, my husband and I conceived in October. Is there any chance that my birth control may possibly contribute to some negative side effects for my baby. I've had a sonogram already and everything looked okay and the doctor doesn't believe there will be any problems. I'm just wondering if there is anything that I should be concerned about.

As you have already in your 23rd week. I feel you are safe. Since your Doctor has done sonogram and declared every thing is OK, why you worry ? pregnant lady should always be in a happy mood, eat whatever you wish. Now forget about miracle, previous health problems etc., from your mind, be happy always, think only positive. Visit your Doctor regularly, for mandatory check ups. Good luck.

You stopped the pill before you actually became prego. You can be reassured since you have had a sonogram and it showed everything normal.

I think that you and your baby will be absolutely fine as long as you get adequate nourishment.
