I'm from Canada, and I have heard about Eurovision and how the contest works through Internet video and news reports, but the show is not screened in Canada or the United States.
From what I know about it, I think it's a great idea. We have the similar "Idol" contests on TV, but I would like to see a Eurovision type show for North America

I first heard of the Eurovision song contest while watching Monty Python's Flying Circus and the re-edited versions of The Benny Hill Show when they aired in the US---not a very inspiring way to learn about them, certainly, but I did hear about it---Later on, iI learned that some of ABBA's songs had won or had been entered and placed well in the contests.
Sadly, I've never had a chance to watch the contests, since, as far as I know, they haven't been broadcast anywhere on a major US network. Our loss.

The bookies imagine we can do strong this time. And the balloting equipment has replaced so their is way less political balloting. in case you seem at Norway's get admission to on YouTube their are people putting forward "he's beautiful, im going to vote for Norway". i don't believe of people do not ignore that it really is a singing contest. 2-0 Manchester United

No, I have not heard of the Eurovision song contest. I would watch it if they showed it here. =)

i'm american & no i have not heard of that contest. here in america we have a show called "american idol" where many people sing in front of audience & the viewers @ home choose who gets to win. i hope this answer was helpful

WELL...I AM EUROPEAN AND I AM A EUROVISION FAN...IT IS A PITY THAT SO MANY PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT...I LIKE IT...BUT THERE IS ONE THING THAT I DON'T LIKE...ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY GIVES THE 12 POINTS TO ITS NEIGHBURS...HAVE YOU NOTICED...???
