Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans....J.Lennon

so simple yet profound. We organize, plan, set goals, but in the end life happens and we are all passengers.

life is what u make it.
life is experience, experience is life

growing up we may have had bad or unfortunate experiences that were out of our control but it's then up to u gain a learning experience from them and guide urself to a better life. changing just at least 1 thing will make u feel better and stronger. it doesn't have to cost anything to change for a better life. even just a simple smile could make someone's day. as they say smile and the world smiles with u :-)

I have two sayings; one is my old standby, one I just recently heard. "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." and the more recent one, "We can't control how we die, but we can control how we live." The courage saying has been a favorite of mine for over 25 years. I found it when I was going through a rough spot in my life. (Losing my mother and my boyfriend and I broke up.) The other means I need to stop letting people control me and start controlling my own destiny.

Erm... 'Can't complain!'
When asked if I am ok, when they the person asking knows full well that I am fine and dandy!
Personally, I think it is just a habit!

Although seriously, profound saying....

'It is not the destination in which you take, but the pathway on the journey.'

Hi!

Mine is this saying, and emphasis is put on the word that is in capitals as I say it to myself whilst looking in the mirror:

ALL i need is within me now.

All I need is within me now.

All i NEED is within me now.

All i need IS within me now.

All i need is WITHIN me now.

All i need is within ME now.

All i need is within me NOW.

I say this to myself when I am about to go into an important meeting, if I want money from the bank, if I want to win some business from a customer, etc.

It really puts me in a good frame of mind, and lets me know that it is almost always down to me whether or not I suceed.

I also teach this to my kids and anyone else I feel needs a little 'something' in the confidence stakes.

If it can work for me, it can work for anyone!

Try it and see!!

'An investment in education pays the richest dividends.'
I have learnt this to be true all my life and try to learn new things at all times, from all sources. This has helped me to broaden my vision, make me more mellow and understanding of other beings, and richer in thought.

one that really works for me is

morning is wiser than the evening ( it is a translation )

sometimes I get stressed about things and remembering this helps me to realise that things will look less difficult in the morning and I will have a better answer then.

there's only one of me.
i say this when i want to be good to myself. if i want to do something or buy something, i remind myself i have one life and why should i deny myself things. i'll be dead and gone someday so why should i deprive myself coz i dont know when that day will be .
