Sometimes, and sometimes not. There are different flavors of anarchists. While most are in favor of some sort of economic equality (anarcho-socialists and anarcho-communists), there are also those who do not believe in economic equality (anarcho-capitalists).

These different flavors all do favor smaller governments, preferring more individual rights (even if they disagree over what those rights should be) and a more decentralized approach to the organization of people.

There have been two basic trends in communism - one that favors large governments (like the Soviet Union) and one that favors more anarchist styles of organization (like during the Spanish Civil War). Even as many modern communists have adopted democracy as the desired form of government, there are still differences over how much power should be given to the central government.

A social democrat may favor large government welfare programs to fight poverty, but anarchists may instead promote employee self-management and the expropriation of the means of production from capital owners and giving control over companies to decentralized, democratic organizations of workers.

Not at all. An anarchist resents ALL government, authority, leadership, and law--everyone for himself. A socialist believes in the redistribution of wealth (high taxes, much social spending). A communist forces the redistribution of wealth upon the masses.

No. Anarchist means no laws. In other words, individual responsibility. Look up Dorthy Day or The Catholic Worker.

people answering are right and wrong. their techinical definietion of anarchist is correct, but:

the modern left wing movement, the labor unions, and Marxism itself, came out of what was actually called the Anarchist movement in the early and mid 19th century. It was basically a movement that opposed the rule that big business had at the time, robber barons, etc.

They are opposites. Anarchists want to eliminate all government and laws. Communism and socialism seek government or community ownership of all property, and impose this with a heavy handed government.

No. Anarchy is no government control. Socialists and Communists can only succeeded by exerting more government control.

Socialists and Communists both choose to work within a system of government.

Anarchists simply reject it.

War is another word the anti-Christ likes to use to his advantage. Satan knows Gods word better than anyone. He even tried to trick Jesus while he was in the Desert. Look where this war is being fought at, IN THE DESERT.
