Black holes are extremely massive (lots of mass) but very small things. Because of this, they have a very powerful gravitational effect - to the extent that even light cannot escape so we cannot see them with the naked eye, which is how they get their name. Black holes are often called "singularities" because they are so small, it is as if they exist at just one point.

No, I black hole is an object in space that is so small, and dense that not even light can escape its pull so it appears to be a black hole. Buy the way but holes are only black if filled width ****.
