Not all girls have hymens to begin with, those who do often break their hymens long before intercourse sometimes through penetration during masturbation and sometimes from active lifestyles such as girls who go horseback riding.

Most girls hymens break at some point in their lives, but some will just stretch, and there are some girls who have to have their hymen broken by a doctor as the flesh is too thick to break on its own.

There is no reason for you to break your own hymen, if yours is currently still in tact then leave it that way.

I think you are way to young to worry about breaking your hymen. There is no reason why your hymen needs to be broken before intercourse. To answer your question of whether it CAN be broken before sex, yes it can. My sister when she was around the age of 14-15 broke hers. She was coming down a VERY STEEP staircase (wearing slick bottomed dress shoes) and fell from the top down to the bottom. When she reached the bottom, all of her weight (which was all of 80lbs soaking wet...lol) landed straddling a post at the bottom. She bled and cried because it hurt so bad. My mom took her to the doctor and the doctor said that she had broken her hymen! I knew that she had never been sexually active because we are so close that she would have told me. Besides the doctor could tell that it was a fresh tear. Please just wait. There really is no benefit to breaking your hymen before intercourse. She ended up not becoming sexually active for another 2-3 yrs. and it hurt really bad when she did. So, like I said, no benefits...lol!

It can break at any point in a woman's lives. It can break while playing sports as a child, putting a tampoon in, having sex, falling, etc.

Breaking your hymen does not even make you not a virgin. It has nothing to do with your sexual activity and being a virgin or not.

Why on earth would you want to break it? And why are you so concerned about it. I am 31 years old and until this day, never gave it a thought about it until I have read the incessant questions about it on this website. Nor did I even worry about it when I was your age. It was not important to me to worry about it.

Worry about more important things in life.

Yes,every girl breaks her hymen at some point of time. why do you want to break hymen? it can break while playing or cycling.some have an impression that if the hymen is intact then the girl is virgin.it is suggested not to think of breaking the hymen any more forcefully.

Look I'm 20 , I'm a virgin, and my hymen is not broken and I'm proud of it. Don't break you hymen leave it alone. It will get broken one day or another

sweetheart, why are you interested in this? and why do you want to break yours??
you can break it by horse riding, bike saddles, loads of ways, it isnt really recognised if your hymen is broken really hunni. dont worry about it, continue being young and everything will come in due time.
