That in itself is a fallacy. Humans are equipped to deal with physical pain in various ways. Some violent, some more mellow, while some with tears.
Do not fear. Crying due to physical pain is a normal reaction. It is not limited to just children. Everyone is capable of shedding tears in pain. Most just kept the tears inside not wanting to appear weak and vulnerable. In most society, a show of emotions, such as tears, is a sign of weakness, which is frowned upon. Thus, a lot of people will tell you that big girls/boys don't cry because of this societal belief.

I can't imagine what would make you think that only children cry from physical pain. Sometimes physical pain can be unbearable ... and crying is going to be a completely natural reaction ... regardless of age.

Please don't believe that about only children crying because of physical pain! Anybody, any age, can. Children are more likely to cry because they haven't built up a tolerence for even minor pain, plus there is that "scared" factor too. Who comes in crying with a scraped knee, only to go back outside 3 minutes later, after mommy has kissed and cleaned it?

No if something hurts badly enough you'll cry from birth to death! Children cry more easily and don't care who hears them! Adults try to hide it and pretend it doesn't hurt! Especially men who are brought up to believe only sissy's cry!and the elderly (in my case anyway) don't care what other people think!

No, but I can take a lot more pain without crying now. I didn't cry last year when I broke my wrist, but those nasty migraines make me cry every time.
