Let's see, religion is all about being irrational and sticking one's head in the sand in the face of perfectly good evidence. It's about pretending that problems don't exist.
Does that sound like something that may have carried over to other areas of policy?

Bush is religious? Or a born again in hell boy? Any religion that allows the killing of another humans life is not a religion with my God-he gave people ten commanments and those rules need to be followed if not you are walking with a false God.

I dont really care about someones religion. I care when their religion influences their political beliefs. Mitt Romney for all the screeching of far left liberals seems to separate his religious beliefs from his political beliefs and that would make a good President.

Where the hell did you find that definition of religion? My religion is about the 10 commandments and, yes, I would always want a President who practices his religion!

I don't care about that, as I don't think many presidents have actually believed what they profess to. I don't ever want another silver-spooned frat boy anywhere near the white house. Our president needs to have experienced life outside of the elite wealth bubble in order to understand the country and the people HE or SHE SERVES.

despite my lack of religion, i believe it carries some good moral values.

as long as he keeps his religion separate from his duties, i'd be okay with it.

however, i agree that we may be better without one, because no matter how hard some people try, they will have their own personal beliefs affect those without those beliefs.

I don't mind having a religious president.
I do mind a p[resident who want to impose his apparent religious standard on the whole country.

I should note I believe that religion for GWB is a political tool, nothing more.

I am Christian, and your question is offensive to me. Frankly, if we had a leader that *lived* by his or her faith, we would *not* create wars based on lies; we would *not* scam senior citizens with bogus Medicare "reforms"; we would *not* abide by an unspoken policy of suspicion toward those who question the "president"; we would *not* abide by faith-based policies within a democratic government (in other words, a pseudo-theocracy).

Whether you have faith or not, I respect your opinions; I expect you to respect mine, as well.

63% of people would not vote for an atheist president, no matter what his policies or character were otherwise.
