If these are regular size windows, many people like to use newspaper, as the print does a good job and does not streak. Water with some vinegar also works well. A squeegee works good as your cleaning sweep of the water and dirt is all being pushed in one direction. Wipe clean and go on to next wet area. Watch for white frames on the window, as some can cause white streaks. Hope this helps.

I used to use newspaper till I saw it is leaving ink behind windows are a pain but I started using a good squeegee and I am shocked! It works I have tried in the past but must have had cheap squeegees was not impressed. I clean empty houses and spend 1/2 my time on windows this has been a miracle, I now have figured it out and am so glad! Any window cleaner will work.

An inexpensive way to eliminate streaks is to use pure ammonia, you know the clear kind. Spray it on your windows generously and wipe it off with old newspapers. I would suggest using rubber gloves while you do it. Our cleaning lady uses this and MAN does it make the windows crystal clear! Hope this helps! One more tip: try to clean your windows either early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun isn't shining so brightly directly on your windows. That helps eliminate streaks, too. Everything I just told you is great for mirrors as well. Good luck!

Spray some window cleaning solution on the windows and use old newspapers to wipe them off. The windows will stay sparkling clean for weeks.
