Some animals hibernate (or sleep) during the winter months..
They eat and store up enough food in autumn beforehand to keep them nourished and fed during their sleep.
There are 2 different levels of hibernation, some animals sleep deeper and for longer.
Hibernation allows the animal avoid the dark cold days of winter when food may be scarce.
