Yes, Albert Pujols will get 800 HRs. He has 250 HRs right now and is only 27. I would say he has about 10-11 years left in his career. That should give him plenty of time to get 800 HRs. If he doesn’t he is a sure-in for breaking Hank Aaron’s HR record.

The only way a player could hit 800 home runs is if he averages 40 home runs in a 20 year career. This can be done if he sticks around like Bonds, when his body is in decline and he can't play the field but looks for personal glory and becomes a one dimensional hitter. I don't think Pujols will be like Barry Bonds, but I personally feel his talent and his potential beyond what his skills have developed are greater than Bonds.
The real question, are there pitchers that will pitch to him enough to get close to even 600?

Its possible, but I doubt it. I have never seen a player who can hit the ball out of the park with so little effort as Barry Bonds, and he still a long way to brake the actual HR record. Albert uses power on his swing, he also uses maybe a 36 38 oz bat. 3 0r 4 yrs from now that HR ratio will go way down. he might get to 700+, but 800? Doubt it. I am Dominican, so it will give me a lot of pride to se something like that, but lets be realistic.

of direction A-Rod will hit 800 homestead runs. he's at 491 and is basically 31 years previous. he will end this season with a minimum of 500. so as meaning if he performs 10 greater years and averages 30 homestead runs in step with season, he gets to 800 by employing the time he's 40-one. And 30 homestead runs in step with season is conservative. The previous 11 seasons, A-Rod is averaging 40 two in step with season. If he keeps hitting 40 two a season, he would be at 800 homers in seven greater years after this one.

It seems pretty early for that kind of speculation, but I hope so. I don't want a disgrace like Bonds to keep a record he didn't earn. Aaron had the eye for a homerun pitch and a perfect swing. Barry had anabolics, look at the spike in his stats from 2000 to 2003.

If he stays healthy absolutely. I just hope that the shadow of the steroid era doesn't end up including him. Baseball needs a real hero to cling to and Pujols seems to be that person. I hope he can do it not only for himself but for baseball.

shortly here they will start intentionally walking Albert when hes got runners in scoring position...simply put, no...he should get a pretty high number if he has a long career...but Arod has a much better shot than Albert...
