I shave before a shower. The reason I do is because the heat of the shower opens up the pores on my face, and I can get razor burn very easily. The same is true in the summertime, I will get razor burn after working outside and getting sweaty.

The shaving cream you select will manage your skin so choose that with some thought. As to shaving before or after it is mainly personal choice. I shave prior to the shower but that is just an old army habit from being in the field without access to a shower for days and weeks at a time.

It is better to shave before taking bath. If you feel that your hair gets soft after a bath and easy to shave, then you can try wahsing your face with a mild soap and then apply the shaving gel and have a smooth closer shave. Use a triple blade, so you can have a very soft skin appearence.
A bath after the shave will help kill germs, that may infect the skin, as water has the property like disinfectent.

The most convenient way to shave is while in the process of showering. The hot water opens your pores allowing a closer shave resulting in smoother skin.

Shave after or in the shower becuase the hot water opens your poors. Also it makes your skin softer so its easier for the hair to come out!! Cold tightens things up warm losens them.

Well, let's see. before the shower your skin is dirty and the pores are full of all sorts of crap. after, the pores are clean and the skin has been mosturized. Try to figure it out from there.
