I have what you are talking about. It is pretty small and floats at the top of the tank. These are very useful and vary in sizes. How old is your guppy? The older, the more fry. You should be able to decide on a size depending on how old the pregnant guppy is. Good Luck!!

They have tons of birthing items for livebearers like guppies. I tend to like the netting type that hangs on the tank since it insures complete safety of the babies. But it also requires you to clean it since food collects at the bottom some time. There are some that float inside the tank and they are usually no bigger then a a few inches long and deep. All you really need is a place for the babies not to be bother by other fish or adult guppies.

The breeding trap is very small and stressful for the fish. Instead, I would put a clump of java moss or hornwort (inexpensive aquatic plants) in the tank and let the guppies handle their own breeding. After they first release of fry, there may be a fair number eaten, but soon, they will be used to the presence of youngsters in the tank and the adults will leave the fry alone.

Good luck!

The breeding " trap " can come in a 3 way or a 2 way. The 2 way one is small and the 3 way breeder is medium.
