It depends, is your lawn Bermuda, or St. Augustine? Fertilizer that works good for Bermuda doesn't work for St. Augustine, and vice versa. Scotts Weed and Feed Bounus S, found in a purple bag is great for St. Augustine, but will burn Bermuda in a heartbeat. I recommend a moderate nitrogen count fertilizer. The first number on the bag is nitrogen, the second is potash, and the last is usually phosphate. Ironite is also a great greener upper for all lawns, and is idiot proof, trust me on this one. I know. I do hope I've been some help to you on this matter. I have a passion for lawn, and garden, and have been gardening for over 30 years. May your garden always yield fruit, and may your lawn always, be green.
