A question for my British friends on Yahoo Answers?

I was in the grocery store the other day and saw in the British section, Spotted Dick Pudding. To me, that sounds like an STD.

What does it taste like and how in the world did it get it's name?

LOL Spotted Dick is a steamed sponge pudding made with currents. Spotted refers to the currents and dick refers to the dough.

It tastes quite sweet and goes well with custard or condensed milk.

its not bad if you like stodgy desserts.it gets its name from the raisins that are in it.have it with some warm custard but remember its a very heavy dessert.
