entryway? This chair is really big and blocks the dog getting in and out. How can I convince him that his big wooden thing just won't fit in such a tight passageway?

Just wait til he stubs his toe on it (especially bare footed) a few times. It'll be history. He sounds hard headed, so you may have to put up with it for a while. Or......wait til he goes to work and drag it out to curbside. The trashmen will get it or some other hard head will come along and "discover" it. Good luck.

My, that is an awkward position to find yourself in. I think the best thing you can do is just let him go ahead, and find out for himself. Many men have an exaggerated spatial sense. What I like to call "Of course it will fit in there" syndrome.
I see it all the time down at the lumberyard. Weekend handymen trying to cram 5 yard long planks into hatchbacks. You can tell them time and again, but they just wont listen.
Let him try to fit it into the passageway. He'll soon find out it wont. All you can do is be supportive, and don't deflate his ego by saying "I told you so". Make a light hearted joke of it, perhaps "Ooh, it's so big". Men secretly love 'suggestive', yet tasteful humour from their spouses. I hope your dog is not too upset by the proceedings. Animals can be very sensitive about the slightest disruptions.

Men always want to do things that make them feel good although it might hurt the woman. Just explain that you might cry...he wont want that. Then tell him a nice massage or big sloppy kisses will make him feel better. By the way...the fact that you say it is too big might just make him really happy.

What a way to start the question, I was thinking... anyways. You dont convince him...LOL tell him it isnt going here and leave it at that. Try to find someplace else to put the chair.

You might be surprised what you can do with a little lube so just grease the dog up and it will slide right on in or by I mean.

The next time it happens just make sure that 'number 2' is ready for him. He'll get the message.

try a different angle and if that doesn't work then experiment with as many different ways and places you can put it in the front.
