I am moving to New York in about 15 days. The apartment I am supposed to be renting states that heat and hot water are NOT included. I am wondering if anyone knows how much that would cost since the rent is not cheap as it is.... I want to see if it would make sense to find another apartment.

This is for a 2 bedroom apartment. 1st floor and I believe the home to be a little older...

Since you didn't give the size of the unit you can only guess, but yes it will be a notable expense. You could ask the landlord what the bills have been in the past, or even ask the utility company. They can give you that information by address.

You could spend as much as $180 on a cold winter month for heating yourself and water or as little as $20 during the summer on a two bedroom.
