Of course not. This clip obviously was edited to show the most stupid, if this isn't even scripted. I am SURE you can find ignorant people in the UK and Canada.
It's unbelievable that people in the UK and Canada are SO quick to believe the worst in Americans.

Some are playing along. Some are dumb. Some people just act stupid when a mic is put in their face and the comedian is being very serious. That's how that kind of comedy works. You convince them your serious that the capital of Canada is made of ice and then they briefly doubt themselves, because they are nervous. and then you edit. In truth, Americans are alarmingly ignorant to the outside world.
I'm from middle America. Even our coasts make fun of us.

We, like every other country, have uniformed folks and we do have our fair share.
Watch "Are You Smarter Then A Fifth Grader" some time. But then again, it only has on folks that can get a laugh out of the
audience.
Most of the folks that I know are well informed about world affairs but would rather concentrate on their own daily lives.

I saw this last week and laughded myself silly. But I bet if you asked any chav the same questions you`d get the same answers, there`s thick people everywhere, it`s just that the yanks have a reputation for it. Though saying that, why aren`t canadians to ignorant of foreign affairs? must be the US education sustem.
