People are born gay...if they in fact are gay. There is no "gay society". Gay people are humans...mankind...etc. etc.

I would imagine that if you don't have any close friends or people that you care about that are gay-and you were raised in a small area or with certain family ideals, homosexuals might seem like a confusing topic for you.

The thing is, scientifically speaking, certain people are just built with more of a 'male' mind or female. Some women are extremely hairy, boyish, aggressive. Some men are highly emotional, not so hairy, etc. There's this whole spectrum between what society dubs as 'male' and 'female'.

It's important to note that humans try to classify and organize information, just as we've done with gender. But, just like with everything else, there's a whole bunch of grey between the black and white of things.

Homosexuals are indeed, born that way. Just as heterosexuals are born straight.

Good luck to you! I hope you understand, and aren't having a hard time accepting this matter!

Folks are born homosexual.
Case in point: A girl child is born to straight parents, there is also an older girl child in the family. No one in the family is gay.
The girl child is taught all sorts of things in the form of house keeping etc. - all to be a better house wife when she grows up. Child is a loving type person.
Girl child attends school and has no contact with anyone who maybe gay (to her knowledge). Child has lots of friends who are mostly females.
At about age 16 the child starts to know something is not right with her but has no idea what. At 18, child gets married then divorced a month later-husband was a wife beater.
This woman/child knows that she is different but has no idea what. She goes to a friend's birthday party and just by chance, and all in fun, another female plants a kiss on her. The woman/child feels the chemistry zap through her. She now knows what has been going on inside her body. She loves and wants to be with women instead of men.
True story and there are a ton of others, just like them, out there.
Yes! There is a lot more to it but that is the bare bones of the story. No one likes to be ridculed and berated all their life so why would they choose to be gay? Simple question isn't it? I, for one, haven't enjoyed that aspect of my life.
The animal kingdom is loaded with animals that prefer their own gender. Some even mate, to have offspring, then leave the male behind and get back with the gals.
By the way, that is my story-in part.

I think people are born with more or less gay inclinations than each other and then the environment has some influence. One thing is for sure the way homosexuality is expressed in society is socially constructed. Greek and Roman society viewed homosexuality completely differently than contemporary society.

Hmmm...this is a novel question. For me, I learned it from a book in my interior designing class. It took a lot of practice, but I think I got it right, now!

Actually, I think people are born the way that they are. Whether they express it or not depends on outside considerations, such as family, peers, and societay in general.

But there are no real answers to this...

It is how you were born. There are many homosexual couples who have raised successful heterosexuals. There are also many heterosexual couples who have raise successful homosexuals. Someone's not taught to be gay any more than they are taught to be straight. You are who you are and people should accept it regardless.

Born. It is not a choice, and society has no impact on a person's sexual orientation.

I honestly believe that I was born that way. Obviously babies don't have any sexual attraction. Baby girls don’t have boobs, baby boys don’t shave, but all the genetic stuff is already there waiting to kick in at puberty.

People are born gay.
That is my 432 time answering that question. The other one I answer all the time is "why are there still apes if man evolved from apes"?
